In support of Pride Month, I’ve been inspired to do this makeup style. This weekend has seen the festival of Pride London and from what I’ve seen it’s looked amazing! So many supporters of LGBTQ rights and celebrating their community in our country’s capital city. Your all so strong and wonderful from the inside out! I’d have loved to have been there today to see you all, although I’m not part of the community I’m a huge supporter of your rights. VOTE FOR HUMANITY. Not only a city filled with warriors and supporters this weekend, but a whole world fighting for love for an eternity. Absolutely beautiful you guys!
So in aid of my support I’ve painted my eyes today in the wonderful bright colours of the rainbow. I used MUA Makeup Academy’s pallete Silent Disco. This was an absolute bargain this morning at only £4! I was actually quite suprised at the pigment under my camera light. If you do want more pigmented colour just apply a little more and build it up to your desired depth.
Step 1 – Conceal and prime the eye area.
Step 2 – Style the eye brows
Step 3 – Eyeshadow on the lid; ok so for the lid think the warm colours of the rainbow. Now there is a trick. You need to use your eye as a colour wheel. Think back to primary school when you were painting in art class. It can’t be random colours anywhere ,there is a technique. I used yellow, then orange, then red on the top. On the bottom it needs to be green, blue and purple in that order from inner corner to outer corner so your eye blends round perfectly into the colours. For the lid I used yellow (Techno) in the inner corner, blended into orange (Just Dance) in the middle and blended that into red (Freak Out) on the outer corner. After this I used a clean eyeshadow brush to blend the crease a little.
Step 4 – The bottom line; On the bottom line think the cooler colours of the rainbow. For the green I used Revel, the blue I used Glam and the purple is Electro. Concealer was used to clean up the bottom line.
Step 5 – Add the black and conceal; I always used the liquid liner by Makeup Revolution as mentioned in previous posts. I used a water proof mascara from Kiko Milano, then cleaned up any mistakes with a concealer brush and a little concealer.
This was a fun eye style to try out and it really popped! But also my way of supporting something I feel strongly about! Thank you guys again for reading my post, I hope you enjoyed! Please follow for more makeup tutorial posts and if you can’t wait for more… check out my older posts.
